~ Mission Control

Alien Eggs, usually referred to simply as eggs, are the mysterious primary mission objective in the Egg Hunt gamemode. They are located hidden in the walls and must be dug out and returned to the M.U.L.E. 4. 6 or 8 Eggs must be collected per mission.

Alien Eggs are large objects and must be picked up and carried by hand. When carrying a large object, a dwarf cannot do anything but throw flares and grenades, ride ziplines, and movement speed is penalised by 25%. It can be dropped by switching weapons, or thrown by pressing the primary fire key.

The required amount of Alien Eggs changes based off the length level.

Cave length 1 | Cave complexity 1 : Length 1 | Complexity 1 - Collect 4 Alien Eggs

Cave length 2 | Cave complexity 2 : Length 2 | Complexity 2 - Collect 6 Alien Eggs

Cave length 3 | Cave complexity 3 : Length 3 | Complexity 3 - Collect 8 Alien Eggs

Appearance[edit | edit source]

They are large olive-green ovoid eggs. A pinkish-magenta ropey membrane wraps around the egg, appearing like bulging veins.

Dull pink organic material surrounds the egg, along with Brown-orange pulsating markings doting the area they are located.

Extracting an egg from the membrane will cause the ground to shake, accompanied by an eerie, distant Glyphid scream, possibly the mother of the egg alerting other bugs. Shortly after, a horde of enemies will attack.

Locations[edit | edit source]

Eggs can be found in any planetary region, but only during Egg Hunt mission types.

Trivia[edit | edit source]

  • In the quote from the Salt Pits, as well as in one of PSA messages, "Glyphid omelettes" are mentioned, possibly hinting at the alien egg's purpose. This however could simply be a nickname for the food.
  • Eggs used to appear as a secondary objective on certain mission types.
