The Magma Core is one of the biomes of Hoxxes IV, located in the absolute center of the planet. It lies deep beneath the surface, closest to the core of Hoxxes; resulting in many obstacles being related to fire and/or magma. The rock forming the caves is sturdy, meaning it takes 3 hits to destroy it.
Hazards
The Magma Core is arguably one of the most dangerous biomes of all, as the hazards there are numerous. They include Explosive Plants, which can explode violently when damaged, even being able to trigger other nearby plants - this can then cause a chain-reaction. The damage from an explosion is almost enough to kill a dwarf in one hit. Another hazard are Lava Geysers which errupt fire at regular intervals. An erruption announces itself with a rumbling noise. Occasionally, the entire cave shakes violently, during an Earthquake, dramatically slowing all dwarves exploring it down.
Enemies
All enemies can be encountered in the Magma Core, including Spitball Infectors, Cave Leeches and Glyphid Dreadnoughts, which can be encountered in Elimination missions, like in every other biome.
Vegetation
The Magma Core is very barren in terms of vegetation, the only plants found in the caves are the hazardous plants described above.
Ores
As with every biome, some of the ores which can be found in the Magma Core are determined by the mission type, such as Morkite, Aquarq or Hollomite. The crafting materials found in the Magma Core are 
Magnite and 
Croppa, with Magnite being abundant, and Croppa being scarce.
