Mining Expedition is the first mission available to new Miners. They are characterized by linear series of connected caves separated by dirt walls between them with a "treasure room" full of resources at the end. The treasure room features an abundance of rare Crafting Resources and Gold, encouraging players to reach the end of the mission.

A nearly identical version of Mining Expedition exists called Work Instructions which features the same caves each playthrough (although tunnels connecting the caves and resource placement is still randomized) and with a set Morkite quota of 100 (secondary objectives and crafting resources do not appear). It can be accessed via the Tutorial Terminal or the Start Tutorial button on the pause menu.

About[edit | edit source]

The goal of a Mining Expedition mission is to collect a certain quantity of a shiny, dark blue resource named Morkite. Morkite Morkite is exclusive to Mining Expedition missions. It glimmers in the darkness, making it easy to find, even in the largest of caverns. Once mined, the Morkite must be deposited into the M.U.L.E for it to count towards the quota.

While you must complete your primary objective to finish the mission, You can choose to collect an optional secondary objective resource for a Credit.png Credit bonus upon mission completion.

After the primary objective is completed a red button will light up on the MULE, once pressed a drop pod will be called to pick up the MULE and any surviving miners.

Primary Objective[edit | edit source]

The required quota of Morkite differs based off the mission length and complexity.
