It is a shiny, dark teal mineral. It is one of the few minerals in the game that can be seen gleaming in the dark distance of cave systems and tunnels. Morkite can also take the form of an oily blue liquid. Liquid Morkite is the objective that needs to be pumped back to the Refinery during and On-Site Refining mission. Wells of liquid Morkite are surrounded by a blue crust of solid morkite, and easily identified by the glow they give off.

Basically, it's 'Mørk', which in Danish means 'Darkness', and then we added 'ite', as in stalactite, so it becomes 'Morkite'... the Dark Mineral

Morkite is a basic Mineral that appears in the Mining Expedition mission in Deep Rock Galactic and "Extract Morkite" objective for Deep Dives. The primary objective in Mining Expedition consists of gathering a certain amount of Morkite, ranging from 200 to 400 units of it. Morkite will appear in your inventory, much like many other resources, and must be deposited into the M.U.L.E to count towards the primary quota.
