| width="600px" | Temperature Amplifier is a modification that adds Heat or Cold area damage to the Colette Wave Cooker whenever it is striking a creature that is either On Fire or Frozen. If the target is on fire then the mod will add Heat damage in an AoE, and if the target is frozen then the mod will add Cold damage in an AoE. The area is centered where the Colette Wave Cooker strikes, not on the creature's center of mass, so it will spread temperature faster to enemies closer to where the weapon is pointing.

  +
The Neurotoxin of Contagion Transmitter does stack with Neurotoxin from both the Neurotoxin Canister and the Gunner's weapons to allow for higher damage per second, but it will not apply its own unique status icon.

  +
This mod also provides a 1.3x damage multiplier for the Wave Cooker's direct damage while a creature is standing within a Goo Puddle, afflicted with Neurotoxin from either the Neurotoxin Canister or the Gunner weapons. The damage bonus does not apply when a creature is only afflicted with the Corrosion DoT or afflicted with the neurotoxin spread by this mod, the creature must be afflicted with Neurotoxin from a different source or standing within a Goo Puddle. This damage bonus is multiplicative with Super Focusing Lens for a combined 1.95x damage. There is no interaction with Blistering Necrosis as the Blisters do not share the creature's status afflictions; however, the Wave Cooker is able to hit both the blister and the creature it is attached to at the same time so as to deal one hit with 1.3x damage, and one hit with 1.5x damage for a combined 2.8x damage overall.

Gamma Contamination gives the Colette Wave Cooker a 25% chance to apply a Radiation DoT to any enemy that is struck directly by the weapon. The radiation DoT is split into two different effects. The first is a direct DoT applied to the irradiated enemy, and the second is a radioactive field that surrounds the irradiated enemy. The irradiated enemy is not damaged by the radioactive field unless there is another irradiated enemy nearby with its own radioactive field. The radioactive field will not stack with itself should more than one be in contact with an enemy.

Every time the Colette Wave Cooker deals damage directly to a creature, there is a 10% chance of creating a Blister on the bodypart that was damaged. The Blisters have 50 HP (no scaling). When damaged, the Blisters will transfer the damage recieved to the creature they are attached to, acting as a weakpoint and inflicting weakpoint damage.
biome features collapsible
  +
The Blister does not inherit any Status Effect(s) of the creature it is attached to. As such, it will not be affected by mods that require a Status effect to be applied such as Contagion Transmitter or Conductive Bullets.
  +
  +
The Blister has its own hitbox that is separate from the creature it is attached to. As a result, it will allow weapons with any form of area of effect to hit the creature multiple times. For example, the CRSPR Flamethrower will deal 100% damage when hitting a Blister as well as 100% damage when hitting the creature the Blister is attached to, dealing a total of 200% damage. The Colette's own ray tracing behavior allows it to damage both the Blister and the affected creature as well.
  +
  +
The Blister's separate hitbox may also recieve damage from projectiles from creatures as well. For example, an Acid Spitter that has a Blister attached to the mouth will not only block projectiles, but also transfer damage back to the attached creature.
  +
  +
When the Blister pops, it deals a burst of damage in a very small AoE centered on its location, meaning the Blister popping is able to deal damage to multiple creatures.
  +
  +
Finally, when the Blister's hit points reach 0, it counts as killing a creature for the purposses of mods such as Boiler Ray and Targets Explode. As a result, these mods are able to trigger their explosive effects by targetting the Blisters from this overclock.

In addition to the applying a damage over time that deals both Fire and Heat damage the Burning Goo Puddles are considered to be On Fire with a 1.7m Area Heat Radius. Along with this the Burning Goo Puddles act as an Environmental Heat Source with an Intensity value of 1. To calculate the total heat being applied to any given bug simply use this formula:
  +
* Heat per Second = [ Current Intensity Temperature per Second ] + 5 * [ Nearby Puddles ]
  +
Most of the time the amount of additional Heat damage will simply be 2 + 5 * [ Nearby Puddles ]. The Heat Intensity can be raised or lowered in the presence of other Environmental Heat or Cooling effects such as the Blizzards that may occur in the Glacial Strata.

Temperature Amplifier
Temperature Amplifier is a modification that adds Heat or Cold area damage to the Colette Wave Cooker whenever it is striking a creature that is either On Fire or Frozen.

Area Damage

  • Damage: 3.5 Heat or Cold
  • Damage Radius: 2.5m
  • Max Damage Radius: 1.5m
  • Minimum Damage: 25%

Boiler Ray
Boiler Ray is a modification that gives the Colette Wave Cooker a 50% chance of triggering an explosion at the point where the weapon last hit a creature when that creature is killed.

The explosion is not a death effect; it is an effect native to the weapon, so the effect will not be disabled by the Frozen status.

Explosion Statistics:

  • Damage: 100 Explosive
  • Damage Radius: 2.5m
  • Max Damage Radius: 1.5m
  • Area Damage Behavior: Radial

Exothermic Reactor
Exothermic Reactor is a modification that gives the Colette Wave Cooker a 25% chance to afflict Temperature Shock on a creature afflicted with either On Fire or Frozen. The creature will take 200 Disintegrate damage and immediately drop to its dousing or unfreeze temperature and spread either Heat or Cold to nearby creatures but not the afflicted creature itself.

Temperature Spread from On Fire:

  • Damage: 25 Heat
  • Radius: 2m

Temperature Spread from Frozen:

Contagion Transmitter
While a creature is afflicted with Neurotoxin, Corrosion, or is currently in contact with a Goo Puddle any damage dealt by the Colette Wave Cooker's beam has a 10% chance of afflicting the creature and nearby creatures to be afflicted with Neurotoxin to deal 12 damage every 0.75-1.25 seconds for 10 seconds.

The Neurotoxin of Contagion Transmitter does stack with Neurotoxin from both the Neurotoxin Canister and the Gunner's weapons to allow for higher damage per second, but it will not apply its own unique status icon.

Gamma Contamination

Gamma Contamination gives the Colette Wave Cooker a 25% chance to apply a Radiation DoT to any enemy that is struck directly by the weapon. The radiation DoT is split into two different effects. The first is a direct DoT applied to the irradiated enemy, and the second is a radioactive field that surrounds the irradiated enemy. The irradiated enemy is not damaged by the radioactive field unless there is another irradiated enemy nearby with its own radioactive field. The radioactive field will not stack with itself should more than one be in contact with an enemy.

Radiation DoT:

  • Damage: 5 Radiation
  • Tick Rate: 0.2-0.25s
  • Duration: 7s

Radioactive Field:

  • Damage: 3 Radiation
  • Tick Rate: 0.2-0.25s
  • Radius: 2.0m (visual field will vary by bug size)
  • Duration: 7s

Blistering Necrosis

Every time the Colette Wave Cooker deals damage directly to a creature, there is a 10% chance of creating a Blister on the bodypart that was damaged. The Blisters have 50 HP (no scaling). When damaged, the Blisters will transfer the damage recieved to the creature they are attached to, acting as a weakpoint and inflicting weakpoint damage.

The Blister does not inherit any Status Effect(s) of the creature it is attached to. As such, it will not be affected by mods that require a Status effect to be applied such as Contagion Transmitter or Conductive Bullets.

The Blister's separate hitbox may also recieve damage from projectiles from creatures as well. For example, an Acid Spitter that has a Blister attached to the mouth will not only block projectiles, but also transfer damage back to the attached creature.

When the Blister pops, it deals a burst of damage in a very small AoE centered on its location, meaning the Blister popping is able to deal damage to multiple creatures.

Finally, when the Blister's hit points reach 0, it counts as killing a creature for the purposses of mods such as Boiler Ray and Targets Explode. As a result, these mods are able to trigger their explosive effects by targetting the Blisters from this overclock.

Blister Stats:

  • Health: 50
  • Weakpoint Multiplier: 1.5x unless attached to a larger weakpoint.

Damage Transfer Properties:

Blister Pop Damage:

  • Damage: 80 Poison
  • Damage Radius: 0.1m
  • Max Damage Radius: 0.1m

Contaigen Transmitter

This mod also provides a 1.3x damage multiplier for the Wave Cooker's direct damage while a creature is standing within a Goo Puddle afflicted with Neurotoxin from either the Neurotoxin Canister or the Gunner weapons.

Unique Modifications

Heat Radiance

Icon Upgrade Heat

Heat Radiance is a modification that causes the Flamethrower to emit an aura of heat onto all enemies within 4 meters, while the trigger is being held. The heat is strong enough to ignite most enemies after 1 second of constant fire, and can expedite the rate at which enemies at very close ranges are ignited by the flamethrower's direct flame or sticky flames.

Targets Explode

Icon Upgrade Explosion

Targets Explode is a modification that gives enemies a 50% chance to explode if killed with direct damage. This damages enemies inside of the 0.5 meter radius of the explosion.

This applies to creatures of any size, including small enemies like swarmers or maggots.

Understanding the Weapon
  • Damage is how much damage is dealt upon direct impact of an uncharged shot.
  • Charged Area Damage is how much damage is dealt within the damage radius around the impact of a charged shot.
  • Charged Fragment Damage is how much damage is dealt by each fragment spawned by a charged shot.
  • Charged Fragment Count is the amount of fragments spawned by a charged shot.
  • Effects Duration is the amount of time in seconds that corrosion affects an enemy when it is directly impacted by a corrosive projectile
  • Puddle Lifespan is the amount of time in seconds that a corrosive puddle persists after a corrosive projectile lands on surface
Normal and Charged Shot Breakdown
  • Damage Type: 50% Kinetic / 50% Corrosive
  • Damage Radius: 1m
  • Max Damage Radius: 0.5m
  • Minimum Damage: 25%
  • Hitbox Radius: 0.25m (0.20m for Fragments)

Charged Shots

  • Damage Type: 50% Kinetic / 50% Corrosive
  • Damage Radius: 2.5m
  • Max Damage Radius: 1m
  • Minimum Damage: 25%
  • Hitbox Radius: 0.45m
Corrosion Mechanics

Enemies hit directly or caught within the splash radius of the sludge projectiles have a 100% chance to be applied with Corrosion. (Note: Enemies walking through a corrosive puddle will not apply/refresh this effect.)

  • Damage (per tick): 8
  • Damage Type: 100% Corrosive
  • Tick interval: 0.2-0.25s
  • Duration: 4 seconds
  • Slowdown: 35% (x0.65 Movement Speed)
Puddle Properties

Enemies take damage for however long they remain on a corrosive puddle. (Note: This DoT stacks with the aforementioned Corrosion DoT effect.)

  • Damage (per tick): 4
  • Damage Type: 100% Corrosive
  • Tick interval: 0.2-0.3s
  • Duration: 12 seconds
  • Slowdown: 45% (x0.55 Movement Speed)
  • Hydrogen Ion Additive Overclock does not affect the puddle damage or corrosive puddle DoT or Slowdown
  • Puddle Diameter is affected by whether the puddle was created by a normal shot or a charged shot. Charged fragments create the same size puddles as normal shots
    • Normal diameter: 1.2 meters
    • Charged diameter: 2.4 meters
  • Puddles ignite after accumulating 20 Heat from any source. While burning the puddles deal additional Fire + Heat damage to enemies that walk through them
    • Additional Damage (per tick): 12 Fire
    • Heat (per tick): 12 Heat
    • Tick Interval: 0.5-1.0s

In addition to the applying a damage over time that deals both Fire and Heat damage the Burning Goo Puddles are considered to be On Fire with a 1.7m Area Heat Radius. Along with this the Burning Goo Puddles act as an Environmental Heat Source with an Intensity value of 1. To calculate the total heat being applied to any given bug simply use this formula:

Most of the time the amount of additional Heat damage will simply be 2 + 5 * [ Nearby Puddles ]. The Heat Intensity can be raised or lowered in the presence of other Environmental Heat or Cooling effects such as the Blizzards that may occur in the Glacial Strata.

Slowdown Mechanics
The two modifications, Protein Disruption Mix and Hydrogen Ion Additive, that affect the Sludge Pump's two sources of slowdown do not add to or replace the slowdown stats. Instead they act as separate multipliers to enemy movement speed.
